Retreat Chair-elect—works with the current Retreat Chair planning and organizing our annual retreat.

Program Chair-elect—works with the current Program Chair planning and organizing speakers and workshops for current and future months/years.

Director-at-Large-elect—works with the current Director-at-Large planning monthly extras (block exchanges, refreshments, challenge contest, etc.)

Quilt Show Chair—organizes our annual quilt show - schedules quilt show meetings, heads the quilt show committee, oversees all aspects of the quilt show, including, but not limited to: acquiring a contract between the guild and the quilt show venue and a contract with Freeman's Decorating.

Quilt Show Chair-elect—works with the current Quilt Show Chair planning and organizing the current year's show.

The following are the positions already filled for the upcoming year:

Communications Editors—Celeste Muehlenthaler & Susan Body

I know my descriptions above are very brief and like I said before, there are notebooks to reference and past board members available to give advice on any of these roles. It really is fun, so please, give it some thought, talk with a friend, and consider volunteering or co-volunteering for an open position. We are always looking for new, fresh, creative, and talented people to steer us and since our guild is filled to the brim with talent, this shouldn't be too hard. We do have a few volunteers already, so thank you to those quilters, in advance. I'll have the sign-up sheets available at our June and August meetings. If more than one person (or co-persons) volunteers for the same position, we will vote during our August meeting.

Don't forget, get those quilt show entries in early! We still need country store donations! Sell those raffle tickets! Volunteer! Volunteer! Volunteer! See you at the June 19th meeting!
